River Place is located just off of FM 2222 and east of RR 620, just minutes away from both downtown
Austin and the Arboretum. The neighborhood began construction in the mid nineties and building still continues today; once the neighborhood is completely built out it will boast eleven-hundred homes and over two-thousand residents. River Place offers a wide variety of homes ranging from gorgeous single family homes to luxury condominiums; there's a place for everyone in River Place.
The community offers an array of amenities that highlight the neighborhood's proximity to both
Lake Austin and Lake Travis. River Place has two parks, Sun Tree Park and Woodlands Park which feature pavillions, swings, jungle gyms, charcoal grills, soccer fields, and an exercise area. The board walk is another neighborhood favorite where residents can enjoy the scenic pond and explore the nature trail, a peaceful walking path that follows Panther Creek down to the shores of Lake Austin. There are also multiple scenic overlooks throughout the neighborhood where residents can enjoy gorgeous views of the Texas
Hill Country and Highland Lakes.
The neighborhood is also home to River Place Country Club which offers the best in golf, tennis, swimming, fitness, dining, and social events that can't be missed. River Place is unique because it offers residents both golf-course and waterfront living all while being just a fifteen minute car ride to downtown.
The River Place homeowners association, known as the River Place Residential Community Association (RPRCA) plays an active role in the community to ensure that everyone in the neighborhood feels right at home. RPRCA holds many annual events, like summer ice cream socials, Halloween parties, Fall hoe downs, and the Fourth of July Parade, and sponsors neighborhood-wide groups like the gardening to club to foster a sense community within River Place.
